V.A. Batenkov has received the award “Children of wartime”

 Another award was handed over to Vladimir Alexandrovitch in February of this year: the breastplate “Children of wartime”. It is handed over to the citizens of the region in the network of law “About preservation on the territory of Nyzhniy Novgorod Region of the historical memory and about perpetuation of the Soviet people’s deeds”. Among the awarded are workers of the home front, citizens of sieged Leningrad, Veterans of Labor, Honoured workers and veterans of different branches of the socio-economic and cultural scope.

“Many of those who were born and were growing in the time of Great Patriotic war, lead nowadays the active public work. In the childhood felt on their shoulders really adult duties. I know that according to my family’s history. The toughness that was received in those years helped then not only to revive the country, as well to create the basis, which also provides nowadays Russia’s development. This is a wonderful generation whom we owe a debt of gratitude. Gorky and Gorky Region would not become “forge of Victory” and the most powerful industrial center without their income”, — said the governor of Nyzhniy Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.
