THE CAST IRON’S DAYS IN CHELNY – 2022

From the 24th to the 28th October of the year 2022 took place in Naberezhnye Chelny by the Engineering Centre of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institution of Kazan federal university the International theoretical and practical forum “THE CAST IRON’S DAYS IN CHELNY – 2022” about the subject “Science in the technology of the cast iron’s modification”, whose program included the seminars of the suppliers of materials, technologies, equipment and software for manufacturing and control of the cast iron items’ quality, the exhibition of cast iron production. The purpose of that measure became the unification of the scientific and production specialists’ efforts, which were directed on the cast iron items’ development and decision of the cast-iron production’s immediate concerns.

From AO “Transpnevmatika” took part in the forum the factory’s chief metallurgist Fedyakin S.A., the design engineer of the 1st category of scientific and technical centre Ananyev A.M. and the engineer on metallurgical tests of the 1st category of the chief metallurgist department Kudashkina N.I.

On the forum appeared with the reports the specialists of the leading industrial factories and the scientific associates of the institutions of higher education, among them were Dybrov I.A., Doctor of Technical Science (RAL, Russia), Panov A.G., Doctor of Technical Science (NCHI KFU, Russia), Davydov S.V., Doctor of Technical Science (Bryansk GTU, Ruaaia), Kuznetsov A.A. (MTP, Russia), in total were listened twenty-eight appearances. The perspectives of cast-iron production’s development in Russia and appeared on its way difficulties were discussed. The reporters told about the carried-out studies, theoretical and experimental researches, transformations, those take place in the alloys, and about their controlling with the purpose of the receiving in cast bar of demanded microstructure and, accordingly, of necessary service properties.

In the appearances was touched upon the subject of the receiving of the castings from cast iron with the vermicular graphite (CHVG) and with the spherical graphite (VCH), that is very actual nowadays for our factory, because of that for manufacturing of the brake blocs are manufactured the castings from  CHVG and VCH. In the reports about the receiving of the cast iron with the vermicular and spherical graphite imparted the reporters the experience of applying of the new modifiers and of the doped materials and of means of their introduction in the melt. In the same place were very interesting and actual the reports about the new methods of more effective detecting of the cast iron’s microstructure, were offered the items, the electrolytes’ compositions and means of the electrolytic etching of cast iron examples.

On the forum was organized the exhibition of the cast iron castings of the complex construction, in the exhibition took part such factories as PAO “KAMAZ” (Naberezhnye Chelny), AO “AUTOVAZ” (Tolyatti), PAO “GAZ” (N.Novgorod), OOO “Phoenix” (Tutayev, Yaroslavl region) and many other. AO “Transpnevmatika” demonstrated at the exhibition the items “Crow” 744.000.001-10 and “Crow” 827.000.001 manufactured from the cast iron with the vermicular graphite (CHVG).

Participation in such actions is a possibility to make the acquaintance of the achievements in the area of the projecting, of the technologies of manufacturing and controlling of cast-iron items’ quality and to demonstrate own successes, as well gives understanding, in what direction to develop the foundry engineering and to improve the manufactured production’s quality.
