Results of the competition for the I.P. Kulibin Nizhny Novgorod Region Prize

On April 25, the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region hosted an awards ceremony for the winners of special nominations of the competition for the I. P. Kulibin Nizhny Novgorod Region Prize. On the eve of the International Intellectual Property Day, diplomas and award steles were presented to the owners of the best inventions, utility models and trademarks of the region.

The competition is held annually by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and the patent and law firm «Petukhov and Partners» has been its operator for many years. This time, the best developments were identified according to updated rules, which affected the procedure for participation and the methodology for evaluating works. New special nominations: “Technological Breakthrough”, “Safety”, “Technological Sovereignty”, “Leader in Innovation Implementation”, “Smart Technologies”, “Technologies for Life and Health”, “Best Trademark Design” were introduced there.

A total of 87 applications for the competition were received from organizations and individuals who presented works in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, transport, instrument making, energy, medicine, electronics, and information communications. Many of the presented solutions are already in demand and are beneficial by developing the economy of the region and the country. АО «Transpnevmatika» received a 3rd degree diploma in the Safety category for the development of the Brake Block for a Disc Brake of a Railroad Vehicle.
